Pyrolysis Oil is a residue from ethylene production of BASF Steamcracker and has the following uses: for the production of carbon black, as an auxiliary material in the chemical industry, as a raw material for distillation of naphthalene and indene. Important characteristics of Pyrolysis Oil are: viscous, aromatic smell, rich in naphthalene, dark brown color.
